Women in Ministry Network

One resource that's been around for awhile for women in the Churches of Christ who are in professional ministry is the Women in Ministry Network. I'm adding a button to the sidebar that you can click to request to join this group. The Women in Ministry Network also holds an annual conference each year in May.

JTB-
IS the Women in Ministry Network a Yahoo group? The link goes to a sign in for Yahoo groups. Am I eligible to join the network as a non-professional?

yes, it's hosted through yahoo groups. It's intended to be primarily a network/support/resource for women in professional ministry, but recognizing that q lot of the ministry of women in our churches happens without the adjective of "professional" appended to it, it's pretty open.

Is there a way to request an invite when you click on it? (as a member, when I click on it, it just tells me "you are a member")

JTB-
Sorry for the delay. It took until today for me to try to set up my yahoo account. After I got it set up it said that the group was closed to members only. I'm not planning or called to professional ministry (yet) so it's not a big deal. It's just good to hear similar voices.

Thanks!
Jenn

I was hoping it would provide instructions for requesting membership--does it not?

No- no instructions. Just that it was open to members only. I wonder if the administrator has to send an invitation? Let me try the link again...

Here's what it said-
"Sorry, this group is available to members ONLY.
You are not allowed to access this group. "

Hmmmm...
