Okay, y'all, it's that time. When will Baby _______ finally make her appearance? Place your bets--on anything from birthdate to weight, length, bald or blonde--and we'll see who wins the title of prophet & visionary extraordinaire.
Some tips: official due date is May 30; Brent and I were both 8 lbs., 11 oz.; I was mostly bald with an old man fringe 'round the ears; nephew Levi continues an unbroken bald streak into his first year.

I go first!
My money's on June 2. I'm trying in utero indoctrination.
My mom wants June 6th--her birthday. Right mom?
I say 8 lbs. 11 oz. with two beautiful Morton's toes.
Morton's Toe
I say 8lbs 5oz, and June 3rd so your Mom is here and can hang out with you for a couple of days first.
Thanks Priscilla.
I'm saying June 4th, a Sunday, because...
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.
...seems like Sunday is the best and I was born on a Sunday. I bet she will weigh in at 8 lbs. 13 oz and be 21 inches long. And hopefully, she will have a normal head circumference and not have those Morton's toes!
I'll pick my birthday (6th), just for the fun of it, but I won't be at all unhappy if she chooses her own birthday. We can still celebrate together!
Jen, you've taken such good care of yourself, so my prediction is 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 20" long.
If she's anything like you, Brent, she'll have very light blonde fuzz all over her head. You were about two before we cut the one big curl off the nape of your neck.
I'm so excited about having a granddaughter! Hurry Baby!
Mom (Malda)
June 12th
8 lbs. 11 oz.
21" long
no hair, but it will be platinum when it comes in
Granddad Bates
The Rt. Rev. George Councell, Episcopal Bishop of New Jersey, guesses May 31st on the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If he's correct, maybe her middle name will be Elizabeth.
I think its going to be June 5th 8 pounds 11 ounces and a JLB Toe.
Unkie Brandon
TKP's predictions
Clare,
JUNE 3
8 lbs 3 oz
some light brown hair
Grandma will cry
so will Brent
From my Brooklyn church friends:
Here are the official bets placed on Sunday night:
Casey - June 2, 7 lbs 12 oz
Derrick - May 31, 6 lbs 9 oz
Adam - June 1, 7 lbs 0 oz
Gilda - May 31, 8 lbs 3 oz
Laura - June 3, 8 lbs 1 oz
Hilary - May 30, 8 lbs 11 oz
Maria - June 4, 7 lbs 11 oz
Kristen - May 29, 7 lbs 6 oz
Joe - June 5, 7 lbs 7 oz
I guess it's too much to ask to hold out for my birthday on the 21st, isn't it?
Hell yes!
Lucky me gets to guess after a few days have already been shaved off.
No induction, right? So she'll arrive on 6/7 and weigh 8lb, 7oz, be 20.5in. long and not have much hair (a few stragglers).
I have to agree with Emily-- head size does seem to up the antee on weight. I come from a long line of big babies...and big heads.
vaginal birth. 9 pounds even. 21 inches long. Blue eyes, bald. it would be cool if she was blond.
labor = 12 hours, beginning to end (don't worry, it's "easy" like mom said, most of the time.)
love,
aunty al
ps. No Morty.
